They don't have to, a lot of mainline protestant denominations are already accepting their lifestyle and even ORDAINING gay pastors and priests.
The Episcopalian Church is probably the most prominent denomination that has done this.

Exodus is a group of Christians who have abandoned the homosexual lifestyle. They are not promoting homosexuality- they are just trying to introduce homosexuals to Christianity.
After conversion, the assumption is that they will also give up homosexuality.
