It’s funny that Mormons are looking to the old world for proof of a massive civilization they speak about here in the new world. I wonder if it is because they know there is no archeological evidence for their new world Book of Mormon.

Short answer: no
One example, the BoM claims there was a huge battle on the Hill Cumorah in NY. The Mormon church owns the hill and has done extensive excavation in and around it. They have found ZERO evidence of a battle where hundreds of thousands died. Zero evidence of swords, chariots, armor, etc., all of which are described in the account.
