You forgot the blasphemous part -- "pray for us now and at the hour of our death."

There's no way you can legitimately read Scripture that would lead you to the conclusion that asking someone to pray for you is blasphemous.

Asking a dead person to pray for you is idolatry. And yes, Mary is dead..
