lol. And this is why that book is not part of the inspired word of God. The book of Wisdom, along with the other books of the Apocrypha, so obviously contradict God's word found in both Testaments.
Let's see what verse 27 of "Wisdom" 11 says...
"But thou sparest all: because they are thine, O Lord, who lovest souls." -- Widsom 11:27
Does this seem accurate to you? God "spares all?"
Why do you hide them?
All of whom?
Do you even know to whom the verse refers?
If only you were as smart as you try to sound.
so obviously contradict God's word found in both Testaments.
If it were so obvious would you even be having this debate? LOL.
This is the context (Goodspeed's translation):
But you have mercy on all men, because you can do all things,
And you overlook men's sins to lead them to repent,
For you love all things that exist,
And abhor none of the things that you have made;
For you would never have formed anything if you hated it.
And how could anything have endured, if you had not willed it,
Or what had not been called forth by you have been preserved?
But you spare all, because they are yours, Lord, lover of life,
For your imperishable spirit is in all things.
Therefore you correct little by little those who go astray,
And you admonish them by reminding them of the things through which they sin;
So that they may escape from their wickedness and believe in you, Lord.
