OK, so God put a book in the Bible that was nonsense to the alleged audience, as well as to all Christians for the next 1,930 years or so, until our generation? Well, I guess that's one way to make ourselves feel important. We know what John meant to tell the churches at Ephesus, Smryna, Pergama, Thyatira, etc. better than the people of that time who were the churches at Ephesus, Smryna, Pergama, Thyatira, etc. !
The wise reader will interpret Revelation in the context of the current events in play when it was written, and take into consideration the audience it was written to. We are reading their mail, you might say!
GOD always spoke of a Last a Final Generation...
I believe the Bible was written so that all generations could understand that GOD could come at any given time, this is GOD’s way in telling people always remember to be *Ready*
(For you don’t know when the Lord will return)
If they thought..Well heck Jesus isn’t coming back for another 1000 years, more than likely the human condition and spirit would bcome lazy, maybe they would not be as enthusiastic in sharing the *Good News*
Jesus however did give us clues, signs and seasons to be aware of, upon his return to earth...I think this became apparent with the restoration of Israel in 1948.
Are we living in the Days of Noah? I think so...One of the biggest SINS I see today is the acceptance of Homosexuality and all that goes with it..The denial that GOD exists, scoffers, mockers etc...
UNMITIGATED BALDERDASH.
NO other era in history for the last 2000 years has had more than the tiniest fraction of 1% of the END TIMES prophetic contingencies and contexts exist . . . much less dozens and dozens all more or less at the same time . . . since 1948.
Hardly...Revelation was written about events that would unfold in the future...And they still haven't unfolded, yet...
