If you know homosexuality is not consistent with the teachings of Christ, and you want to be homosexual, then why would you ever want to belong to a Christian Church in the first place.The motivation is hostile to the church, and the intention is destructive. They don't want to "belong" to the Catholic Church, they want to pervert it.
This is another illustration of the hostility that drives homosexuality in general and evidence of the psychopathology that characterizes the disorder.
