Two Catholic lawyers went head-to-head Thursday night on whether the Obama administration has any common ground with the pro-life movement and came down on opposing sides on the goals of the new president.

In an invitation-only forum at the National Press Club attended by more than 200 people, Doug W. Kmiec, a professor of constitutional law at Pepperdine University law school, held fast to an assertion that the Obama administration is serious about reducing abortions.

"Two Catholic lawyers went head-to-head Thursday night..."

And one of them is wrong.
And he knows it, but being a lawyer...

And what exactly is there to ‘debate’ about Obama’s abortion policy?

Heresy vs Truth. Guess which side is heresy.

From the article:

“a priest in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles denied Mr. Kmiec the sacrament because of his support of Mr. Obama. The priest later apologized”

I would never have apologized and if called by the bishop to apologize I would have taken the opportunity to admonish the Bishop on his disordered thinking. It is time to dismiss these heretics on sight. They should be driven from the Roman Catholic Church physically if necessary. The average Catholic will continue to be confused about dogma if public heretics are not dealt with swiftly and conclusively.

Enough is enough. Organizations have rules. Those rules are to be followed. If you choose to not only flaunt those rules but to do so in a public way, you should be removed from the organization. The sooner the church moves to eliminate from their ranks these vile lie tellers. The sooner they can get back to the work of saving souls, maybe even some of the heretics souls.

I'm watching the video right now. Kmiec makes me want to vomit. "The denial of communion is intimidation." He is so far off base theologically and biblically on this issue, wow. Total heresy. Just doesn't get it.

Denial of communinion to a heretic is necessary and an act of mercy by any priest who knows what he is doing. To eat the flesh of Christ when living in sin is to bring down condemnation upon one's self. Why would a compassion priest allow that to happen?

How many liberal lawyers does it take to roof a house?

One...but you have to slice him very very thin.

Kmiec got his ass handed to him by George in this "discussion."

“Heresy vs Truth. Guess which side is heresy.”

Its important to get the answer right. Heretics, we are reminded, along with those in communion with them, are enemies of God, which is why the continued presence of a heretic like Martino at the head of the diocese of Scranton is so very troubling. Its one thing for a layman like Kmiec to embrace a heretical belief, of even less concern when one outside the bounds of The Church, like Obama, does so, but it is quite another when the poison of heresy is gradually introduced into The Church in larger and larger doses by those who, like Martino, should not be poisoners but spiritual physicians.

Doug has become addicted to the attention that this stance, as obama-defender, has brought him. He’s not a theologian. He’s just a church-going constitutional lawyer. But suddenly, he is the one they turn to, to get the obama-loving-Catholic perspective. He won’t be giving that gig up anytime soon, because it would mean receding from the spotlight.
