I have made the case (will do so again tonight at 7:00pm) that the elca is not evangelical (it is shrinking), it is not Lutheran (with the passage of CCM), and it is not the church (the church is made of all believers, around the world and over time, not organizational structures). It is in America, however. One outa four accurate words in its title.
I passed buy a broadcast on CSPAN2 of the annual “White Privilege Conference” The white male speaker was spewing some of the most vile anti-white reverse racist venom I have heard/seen on TV. The speaker made Rev. Sharpton seem like a moderate.
Two of the primary sponsor’s were ELCA and University of Colorado, my mother’s church and my Alma Mater, I was so proud.
I'd say you nailed it. I consider it the Everyone Let in Church [in] America.
Thankful to have left the ELCA ping! (Twenty years and counting for me!)
> It is in America, however
but is America in America any more?
