Resty, it seems you only read the first D&C passage I cited -- D&C 42:56-57; not the second one, too:
D&C 45:60-61: And now, behold, I say unto you, it shall not be given unto you to know any further concerning this chapter, UNTIL THE NEW TESTAMENT BE TRANSLATED, and in it all these things shall be made known; Wherefore I give unto you that ye may NOW TRANSLATE IT, that ye may be prepared for the things to come...
A Mormon god tells Smith to wait in D&C 42 -- and 4 weeks later then gives him the "go-ahead" -- "I give unto you that ye may NOW translate it".
So what, Resty, did this Mormon god fail to give Smith? (It wasn't lack of a go-ahead)

All I'm doing, Resty, is proving, testing, trying the spirits, and searching the Scriptures each day, to see if what new revelators say is true -- by comparing it with standing revelation. Luke says in Acts that is the more "noble" way.

Boy, why lds have such a penchant for attempting to automatically associate ministry with what the devil's doing? For example, up until 1990, the lds temple ritual included this exchanged (why was it changed, Resty?):

She is perfect as Christ commanded. As am I. As are all true Christians. We are made perfect (complete as well as spotless) in the sight of God by the Blood of Jesus Christ.
