The Christian church started with a canon.

A blatant admission that this so-called "church" did not exist in the First Century. For the record, the so-called "canon" of this so-called "church" is predated by the Aramaic Peshitta... by many years. The Peshitta is the oldest known text of the New Testament. No Greek text can even come close. All the Vatican has is a Greek text from the late Second Century, and the Latin from the Fifth Century. And from that... they claim to own truth. They are out-dated by about a thousand years...

What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision? Much in every way! Chiefly because to them (Jews, not Romans) were committed the oracles of G-d. Romans 2:29

The irony that this is found in Paul's epistle to the Romans is simply delicious. The Scriptures were written by Jews. Preserved by Jews. Remain Jewish. Making them "Roman" only has led to perversion.
