Faith healing. No matter what good the man may have done in his life, only superstitious quackery can make a saint.
"And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints." - Revelations 5:8
Only God makes saints. The Church recognizes His handiwork.
Where did you get that from?
This was a Divine healing through the answered prayer of a saint.
"only superstitious quackery can make a saint"
Let's follow that out.
Accepting the fact that only God can perform a miracle how does faith do it?
Secondly, this man was healed by praying to Cardinal Newman to be healed and he was, and the doctors said "there was no scientific explanation for the healing " therefor it was miraculous therefor God intervened.
Would God have us believe that the prayers of his saints are useless by granting a healing through an intercessory context as this?
Rv:8:3:"And another angel came and stood before the altar, having a golden censer: and there was given to him much incense, that he should offer of the prayers of all saints, upon the golden altar which is before the throne of God."
In the opinion manufactured by your feeble mind.
