Ping to you....

I Believe this is called a Chiastic Psalm. Chi (Ki?) is the Greek letter for X. Chiastic Psalms always begin and end with praise and or acknowledgment of the Glory and Majesty of The One True God, but bring into focus a point in the middle; in this case, that though God made man a little lower than the angels, He crowned him with the glory of His Image and the right to have dominion over all created things.

I love this on especially, because in it’s dual meaning, it has a Messianic prophecy: Daniel 7:13-14.

13 “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.

14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

Daniel 7:13-14 (NIV)
