"Un-Christlike" is false and slanderous.

I've done a thorough review of the history and its sources, and you are simply wrong here.

Why rely on a third-hand article with no primary sources and conclude that it's "fair and truthful" -- on what basis? The primary sources and contemporary references directly refute the article.

Surely you understand the danger of hearsay assertions? It's a violation of historical method.

Then I encourage you to look at another source, The Encyclopedia Britannica for instance, on Pius XII.
From what I have read, (and formed IMHO--and I've stressed IMHO throughout our discussion) to not denounce the regimes of Fascism and Nazism is "un-Christlike."
Prior to WWII Cardinal Pacelli was the Vatican's ambassador to Berlin, but I have to suppose you knew that; and he steered a neutral course that was definitely non-commital in relations with the Nazis even after the infamous "Night of Broken Glass."
His boss, Pius XI, was once very much close to breaking relations with Hitler after that particular infamy occurred but Pacelli urged again neutrality as the Vatican's response.
Now I assume that you realize there is grassroots effort for Pius XII's sainthood in some parts of the RC community (sparking much of his defense) and I really worry that this will further separate RCs from the rest of mainline Christianity--especially if he were to get there ahead of "Blessed" John, Mother Teresa or JPII!
I suppose that we can both agree on the fact that Pius XII was a dedicated foe of Communism (owing to the fact that some commie thugs once threatened his life at gunpoint) but we will just have to disagree on the rest.
