Because I've engaged so many Christians on this topic, I can understand some of it (below).
But I am curious. Whats their rationale?
None they've shared. When pressed on the issue they tend to get irritated so I don't press the issue anymore.
Everybody I've shared the verses with who also state I'm helping to push a false gospel are Christians that I would define as legalistic. It's really sad to see. My wife struggled with legalism (and still does in some ways), but she's nowhere near where she used to be. Today she knows who she is in Christ and rejoices when she reminds herself of her Christian birthright.
My FR profile says: "Those who belong to Christ will not suffer the punishment of sin (Romans 8:1). Obviously, the key is to belong to Christ." And even that reference has caused some freepers to question whether or not I'm helping to push a false gospel.
