Well, Melian, don’t depend on baptism for your salvation.

“Well, Melian, don’t depend on baptism for your salvation.”

Like St. Paul, I work on my salvation every day. I am baptized; I believe in Christ; I know He is my Savior; I believe every word He spoke; I try to emulate His example and do what He asks of me; I celebrate the Eucharist as He asked; and I am a Catholic. No Catholic depends on Baptism for salvation.

I’ve said this before: you seem critical of Catholics because of things you’ve heard about us that are completely erroneous. We love Jesus and His word as much as you do. I invite you to do some independent, objective research of your own and you will see this is true.

Is your Bible missing these verses?

1Pe 3:20 who had once been disobedient while God patiently waited in the days of Noah during the building of the ark, in which a few persons, eight in all, were saved through water. 1Pe 3:21 This prefigured baptism, which saves you now. It is not a removal of dirt from the body but an appeal to God for a clear conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
