Reiki is occultish and Christians should have nothing to do with it. There is a ‘spirit’ behind Reiki and not the same spirit as we have in true faith healing, where God uses a Christian to lay hands on the sick and they recover. Stay away from it.
That’s New Agespeak. Good you got away from it.
Does it mention that she was Mary? I don’t think so, and even then it may not have been Mary Magdelene. There is no proof either that Mary Magdelene was a prostitute.
I used to date a Reiki Master. As I learned of the “art” I thought of the empath on an issue of Star Trek; she could take some pain from a person. Anyway, I opened my mind and gave it a try.
My date’s daughter was only eleven; she asked her mom “You mean they PAY you for that?”
The Reiki never took away the pain of my migraines. Drugs did. I consider Reiki a placebo, nothing more.
This has not stopped our local Catholic hospital for promoting Reiki. http://www.stjohn.org/CommunityCalendar.aspx?ClassTypeID=1904&Submit=Submit
Some women were talking about this — how it is such a great experience.
Any documentation on it?
I didn’t mention the second passage I posted was Mary. In fact I don’t even know why you are posting this to me. I think you are referring to someone else’s post. As everything in there is a HUH? Who said any of this? I didn’t. Now about my first posted passage I did as did the biblical passage mention there was a passage in which Mary washed Jesus’ feet and the first bible passages calls her Mary. So I’m good. Everything you are saying in your posts doesn’t address anything I said at all. Might want to check whose did.
I was probably thinking of your first post when I responded to the second one instead. Sorry.
No problemo ;-).
I think it's called podophilia for christians.
