News reports that I heard indicated that the pilot was a retired Air Force officer with over 8500 hours, 2000 of which were in that particular aircraft.

They also said that most of the families were in the medical filed and had gone on medical mission trips with their church. Most likely Seventh-Day Adventist since many had attended Loma Linda University. I would not be surprised that many of them had been praying for Mr. Feldkamp to divest himself of the abortion business.

A parsec is a measure of distance not time. It would be like saying “I made the trip to Chicago in only 400 miles” rather than “I made the trip to Chicago in under 5 hours”.
