This is a Prophecy Conference that I've been to several times. I think it's the longest on-going Prophecy Conference around and has some of the best names in the Evangelical Christian area of Prophecy. This year I see several good ones listed (subject to change, though, depending on scheduling...).
And this is a packed conference, as you'll notice it goes from 9 AM to 9 PM every day (breaks in there, of course... :-) ...). They'll usually have one or two spots in there where there will be a general "Q & A Session" with the various speakers. And many of the speakers will be talking two or maybe three different times, during the conference. It's a great Prophecy Conferences and has some good speakers, as you'll see below.
- There is Tim LaHaye who is the co-author if the "Left Behind" series of books that everyone has heard so much about and which exposed quite a few people to the prophecies of the Bible, by means of a narrative and novel-form of writing.
- And then there is Thomas Ice, the pre-eminent scholar concerning the Rapture. His ministry, Pre-Trib Research Center, hosts a conference every year in Dallas, Texas concerning the Rapture, where many scholars in the Evangelical Christian world get together and disucss and submit scholarly papers about the Rapture. The Eighteenth Annual Pre-Trib Study Group" is coming up soon, on December 7-9, 2009, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport.
- Phillip Goodman is also a speaker at the Tulsa Prophecy Conference, too, as the host of the conference, or at least, the ministry that he represents, a Ministry of Thy Kingdom Come, Inc.
- Larry Spargimino is speaking, too -- the associate pastor and editor with Southwest Radio Church Ministries, and is regularly heard on Southwest's "Watchman on the Wall" broadcast. He is also editor of The Bible in the News magazine.
- Mark Hitchcock is another excellent speaker, too. He is pastor of Edmond Faith Bible Church, in Oklahoma and is a prolific writer and an excellent prophecy teacher. You can hear his sermons at his church, too, if you wish. Mark Hitchcock is a close associate of Dr. Charles Ryrie (of the Ryrie Study Bible, a very famous study bible owned by many). Hithcock was also a co-writer with the late Dr. John F. Waalvoord of "Armageddon, Oil, and Terror". Waalvoord is considered to be the "father" of Prophecy (in our time). Waalvoord was also President of Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS). DTS is known as a center of modern Dispensational teaching due to Dr. Lewis Sperry Chafer's development of a systematic theology which approaches the Bible with a "premillennial, dispensational interpretation of the Scriptures, along with DTS's stance on Biblical inerrancy.
- Jerry Robinson, from Tulsa, is on a mission to wake-up America by "challenging believers to think and thinkers to believe." As an ordained Christian minister and an economic authority/advocate, Jerry brings fresh insights to mankind's age-old problems. As founder and president of Jerry Robinson Ministries International, he creates and distributes Biblically-informed and culturally aware publications and audio teachings. Since 2001, Jerry Robinson's writings, lectures, and teachings have reached over 95 nations. He is a published author and has written four books including his most recent major release: Bankruptcy of our Nation. His weekly column is currently published through WorldNetDaily.
- Dr. David Reagan, of Lamb & Lion Ministries is a speaker, and is the one who wrote the article that started this particular thread.
- Bill Salus is a prophecy teacher that I've posted about several times here, concerning the Psalm 83 prophecy as opposed to the Ezekiel 38/39 Gog/Magog War. It's something that, apparently, many prophecy teachers in the past have missed, but was brought to light, recently, by Salus. A good read is the book from Salus, "Isralestine, The Ancient Blueprints of the Future Middle East".
- Dr. Jobe Martin is President of Biblical Discipleship Ministries, an Evangelism/Outreach Ministry. He also lectures on the subject of Biblical Creation vs. Evolatuion.
All in all, this is an excellent list of speakers for the 16th Annual Tulsa International Prophecy Conference.
