What is going on with our Electromagnetic Field? it seems to be Collapsing. Is this one of the *Signs* Jesus wants us to take notice of? what about the Mayan and Hopi Prophecy's? are they also eluding to the end time events we find in the Holy Bible? (Luke 21:24-28) They shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be fed away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring: men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Magnetosphere MayDay? Randa Jazairi 3-12-09
Something serious is happening in the cosmos. Have a look at the magnetosphere. It appears the fields are reversed or non-existent. No magnetosphere is something we have been warned about (there has been a huge hole in it for a few years now) and it really does appear to be so:

Looks like Earth's charge is running down. No new current is flowing in. Blue lines should be on top and red lines on bottom, such as the magnetic field should dictate.
But they are not in such a way. The polarity is going the opposite way.
Should also be noted that there were many Gamma Ray Bursts today (10 in the past 7 days): http://grb.sonoma.edu/index.php And now this: COSMOS IS FALLING: The first fragments of shattered satellite Cosmos 2251 are about to reenter Earth's atmosphere. According to US Strategic Command, fragment 1993-036PX will reenter on March 12th, followed by 1993-036KW on March 28th and 1993-036MC on March 30th. These are probably centimeter-sized pieces that will disintegrate in the atmosphere, posing no threat to people on the ground.
Cosmos 2251 was shattered on Feb. 10th when it collided with another satellite, Iridium 33. Cosmos 2251 possessed about one and a half times more mass than Iridium 33 and to date appears to have produced more than twice the number of fragments.

Of course, within minutes they said evacuation is cancelled but I don't think so. Hopi Prophecy says something about when the ISS falls, that is the last sign. For Discussion:
Uhhhhhhhhhhh . . . no.
I don’t.
I’ll give you
the last word.
I never said this. I am aware of her (via Benny Hinn.) I have nothing to say about her except that she existed and apparently disobeyed 1 Tim 2:12.
You also said:
She sort of agreed with you in principle but said that God couldnt find a man who was willing to pay the price.
It really doesn't matter whether SHE agreed with me or not. What matters is whether Paul would have approved.
1 Tim 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
I'm pretty sure this is the 3rd time I've used this verse in this thread?
There are other New Testament examples . . . prophetesses etc.
The Bible allows for prophetesses. I never denied that.
Hahahaha! Nobody seems to have a burr up his behind about font size and color. Hilarious!
What matters is whether Paul would have approved.
No.
What matters is whether God approved.
He obviously did else HE would not have anointed her ministry so heavily.
God is not bound by our misconstructions on HIS WORD.
Hmmmmmm
LOL.
OK.
But, to reiterate, you have not defined "wasteful" from God's perspective, only from man's.
1) Where does the Bible say that God is obligated to not be "wasteful"?
2) What would God be "wasting" if He did A vs. B? (Pick any A or B.)
Scripture references are always helpful.
No.
What matters is whether God approved.
My mistake by not fully explaining the discussion for you, Quix. (Of course) I would expect God to approve Paul. I apologize for not explaining that I was using Scripture to make a point.
Perhaps this is better?
"What matters is whether or not Paul (and by extension...GOD) would have approved."
I didn't realize you weren't following the conversation about the Bible that I believe was inspired by God:
2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness
I was just scrolling through here and I see I missed one... :-)
You were saying... 1 Cor 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, *that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you;* but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
—
Well, there was a reason that Paul was “beseeching” them. :-)
That’s because it’s never gonna happen on “this side of perfection”... LOL...
[and I do have to laugh and chuckle at this one...]

Now let me tell you what I see when I read that. I say, that’s an excellent statement. And yes, this is exactly what we should do. So, now..., I go and study my Bible and I see what God says. It makes perfect sense to me. It’s so clear, and I’ve prayed about it, asked His guidance, as it says in James (that He will give me the understanding). And that’s exactly what I believe I have.
Now, I go and talk to my Christian brother — and “lo and behold” — it appears that God has made *something else* known to him. What a surprise. But, God doesn’t tell us two different things, does He? No, not at all. So, either my Christian brother is wrong, or I am wrong — or even — we’re both wrong.
So, we both go back to the Bible and we pray and study some more, and we both come back and talk with each other and we’ve got the exact same “word from the Lord” to each of us — except — *it’s a “different word* to each one of us*... My..., my... what to do now?
Well, you see..., I’m absolutely convinced that if I’m wrong — God is going to show me that I’m wrong and I will see it clearly, by His good grace and my prayer asking for guidance. But, I don’t see anything different. And nothing changes. So, I’ve got to conclude that my brother is wrong, instead of me.
BUT, I can’t make my brother change his mind, only God can. So, I just wait and let God change his mind, when God works on him.
Thus, multiply that times several million people, at various stages of their life, some knowing more of the Bible, some knowing less, others more receptive, while still others are adamant and won’t listen to God — but, they’re all Christians, nonetheless (and I am predefining all these people as “saved” and thus are “Christians”...).
So, that’s why Paul “beseeches” us...
Good luck until we get to “perfection” in Christ, in Heaven where His word is known *perfectly* by all... :-)
—
I’m just so sorry, but this has got to be one of the most dramatic “denials of reality” that I’ve seen in these matters... And it’s also why Christians do try to be as gracious as possible in some of these matters... :-)
[... and sometimes that gets to be difficult for me; it’s hard to believe that I am somewhat restrained in some of these posts... :-) ...]
Argue it out until we both say the same thing?
As I said, perfection is not wasteful.
Nature, the physical universe, in its physical laws has shown us that very thing, which also gives us the simple answer from “Occam’s razor” (”law of economy”, or “law of succinctness”) in how to understand the physical nature of the universe.
This is the universe that God put into existence, coming from His nature and His being. That’s why we know of God and see God in the created universe. That’s why we have such things as Occam’s razor to explain these things in the natural universe that God made, because it represent God and who He is.
Talk about me without a ping??
Gutless much?
That’s a good idea in theory, but it will never work in practice. And I say that not from wishing it not to be so, but rather — from seeing it happen, throughout history, in human nature, throughout all the church age and before, in the nation of Israel, itself.
Nope..., I’ll pretty much guarantee you, it will never happen in our lifetime or our kids lifetimes or our grandchildren’s lifetime... :-)
That’s why God granted divorce (i.e., because of their “hardness of heart”), as the Bible says. And that’s why we have different groups “congregating” together, because they have found commonality, together (for the most part) — and not because they’ve convinced each other, but because they *found each other*, and therefore they “congregate” together...
Here’s another good reason, besides human nature and what has been observed throughout the history of mankind...

Matthew 13:24-43
24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;
25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.
27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’
28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’
29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ‘ “
31 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field,
32 which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”
33 Another parable He spoke to them: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened.”
34 All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them,
35 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: “I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world.”
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”
37 He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.
39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.
40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.
41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness,
42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
Not at all. I knew you were here for a reason and would read everything posted, even though you have NO interest whatsoever in the subject (ie religion).
You and your bud are both spoiling for a fight. That much is obvious by how you go around picking on conservatives for their grammar, punctuation, spelling and their friggin FONT choice. Funny...but...the only posters I have EVER seen do that have all be rabid liberals/lefties. Odd, eh?
As for me being gutless, I’m not the one attacking posters on an anonymous forum over their posting style. That would be YOU.
imho,
your general reality testing and your Biblical reality testing
are a great deal better than either are for a number of other folks.
Thanks, and let’s hope that we are as gracious as possible, in our human and fallen nature, and with God’s help... (I know it’s difficult for me at times... :-)... for sure...)
In the meantime, I’m gonna watch a movie... :-)
Adiós
