I’m confused it was post 23 you stated that the collapse of the magnetic field and all the other stuff could not happen because of the 1000 years of Christ. and I pointed out that 2/3 of the people will die and the sun will turn dark along with the moon and stars will fall. Sounds pretty grim to me.

Okay, I got it now, then...

You said — [ ... ] you stated that the collapse of the magnetic field and all the other stuff could not happen because of the 1000 years of Christ. and I pointed out that 2/3 of the people will die and the sun will turn dark along with the moon and stars will fall. Sounds pretty grim to me.”

Yeah, now I’ve got it (what you were saying)...

Okay..., If I read that right, the field would (or is going to) collapse. Now, if that happens, *everybody* is fried — period. That’s not 2/3s of the population, that’s everyone.

Life couldn’t survive on the planet without that shield from the magnetic field. Nothing would be alive.

Perhaps they didn’t mean it would collapse. Maybe they meant it would weaken a bit, and the strengthen back up again. If so, during the time it was *only weakened* then perhaps only some people would die and others would live. But, no one would live if it *collapsed* (which means it’s *gone*).

Perhaps they meant it would “flip-flop”. If that’s the case, it would have to be a *very quick* flip-flop, because life could not stay alive on this earth with the field in a zero-state for very long, as it was flip-flopping. It couldn’t take a period of “years” to flip-flop or that would be the same thing as totally collapsing and all life would die out.

So, all in all, the field cannot collapse, if there are still going to be people around on this earth. That’s the bottom line.

As far as how many are killed during the Tribulation time, I’ve seen the numbers being calculated in the range of 50% to as high as 66% (1/2 to 2/3), according to the wording of the text in Revelation. So, it’s somewhere in that range.

And yes, it’s grim, but the magnetic field collapsing isn’t “grim” — it’s *absolute death* for everyone here. No one can survive a collapsed magnetic field around the earth.

We do not know what the Lord will use outside of the star Wormwood to bring about the end. A pole shift a pole flip? weakling of the field will produce the the sores and other items spoken of in the end times.

You said — “We do not know what the Lord will use outside of the star Wormwood to bring about the end. A pole shift a pole flip? weakling of the field will produce the the sores and other items spoken of in the end times.”

While you’re right that we don’t know exactly what the methodology is going to be that the Lord uses in doing all this stuff that we read in Revelation — that doesn’t mean that we don’t know that a “collapse of the magnetic field” will kill everyone. We do know that. We know that we can’t survive on this planet without it. So, basically I’m saying that whatever the Lord uses, you know he’s not going to use a “collapsed magnetic field” because then there would be no one alive to go into the Millennium... LOL..

And also, you know that if there is a “flip-flop” in the field, you know that it *has to be quick* because — once again — we cannot survive in a “zero field” (during a flip-flop), unless it’s really fast. So, that’s another thing we *know absolutely* — even if we don’t know all the ways that the Lord is going to do things.

This is the kind of stuff that you *can know* — versus the stuff that you “may not know”...

===== ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== =====

And the following in regards to Wormwood...

I’m going to give you a copy of an earlier post that I did on “Wormwood”. I’m just copying it as I wrote it then, so it may refer to some other stuff in addition to Wormwood, but that would have been in the context of the previous post.

But, if you follow the link, you’ll get a full analysis of “Wormwood”. I only give a part of it here.

— PREVIOUS COPY BELOW —

In reference to Wormwood, given in Revelation and what it means..., I’m going to give a “concluding paragraph” of an article that summarizes what I’ve already thought that it means (regarding “wormwood”...).

This prophecy appears to describe the eviction of Satan from heaven. He is thrown to the Earth with one third of the angels, which had rebelled and are now his demons. They actively attack the Christian community, which comprises one third of the people on Earth by spewing out their poisonous venom using a false message designed to pervert and counterfeit the true gospel and the true message of the Kingdom of GOD.

The first part of that paragraph is what I’ve thought all along. Although I don’t know exactly about that second part of the paragraph, it could very well be true, considering that I believe many people will *become Christians* at the time of the Tribulation itself (while the Christians before the Tribulation were already “taken up” by the Rapture...).

Take a look at this article at — http://hubpages.com/hub/Wormwood_What_the_Bible_says_about_it_is_amazing

Also, if you go down to the very end of the article, you’ll find an amazing list of words and phrases and their “symbolic meaning” in the Bible...

[I only give this particular article as reference to the meaning of wormwood. I don’t follow this person’s teaching. I simply see that this is an accurate rendition and interpretation of “wormwood” as I’ve seen it given in the Bible.]

Also, remember one last thing about Biblical Interpretation, it’s the Bible that interprets the Bible. It’s not science that interprets the Bible and neither is it Astronomy or Cosmology that interprets the Bible. The Bible has it’s own wording, phrases and interpretations and even though “words” are used that are in common use in our society, the Bible gives them meaning according to what *it* says and not according to what our own society necessarily says. Thus, when we see “mountain” we know that the Bible refers to “kingdoms” in many instances (but in other places, it does mean a “mountain” in our conventional sense). And also, when Daniel refers to a stone cut out of a “mountain” without hands, we know that it’s referring to the “chief cornerstone” of what the Bible, itself, talks about. And when the Bible refers to “stars”, in many places the Bible is talking about angels. So, make sure you know what the “Bible” says about your interpretation...

Actually, you do need to count Noah’s wife, because she gave her X chromosome to all her sons.

So there would have been 7 different X chromosomes on the Ark.

Actually, now that I think about it, there could have been 8 reproducible X chromosomes, since Noah’s sons could have inherited one or the other of Noah’s wife’s X chromosomes.

Technically, there was a 9th X chromosome as well—Noah’s, but we assume that there was no undocumented daughter of Noah and his wife to perpetuate it.

No. Next!

How do you know that the Hopi’s don’t know that the Saviour is Jesus Christ?

How do I know there isn't really a planet Vulcan, inhabited by very serious people that look like us but with makeup and facial prostheses?

That sounds like wishful thinking theology. That's how we get pop beliefs like "second chance after death", by wishing it to be the case, when the Bible says no such thing.

There's lots of Jesuses. Everybody wants to appropriate him. Hindus would make a place for him in their hundred zillion god pantheon. Muslim's have Isa, the Jesus who only appeared to be crucified, but some poor sap took his place. Secular humanists have the "good teacher Jesus" tragically cut down in his prime(who, if you actually read the gospels, talked an awful lot about his exalted status, and the division he would make in the world. "not peace, but a sword!"). The docetics had a Jesus, who only appeared to be there. The apostle John, who knew Jesus in the flesh, calls believing this "the spirit of antichrist"*. The Arians had a Jesus, who wasn't really God in the flesh.

These Jesuses don't save. These Jesuses aren't real.

Did you get to church last Sunday? Going this Sunday?

22it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.
22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom,
23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles,
24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

.

*(Don't even try to jam that reference to antichrist into a dispensational end-times scenario. It doesn't work)

The most devastating . . . leaving a NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH stuff

logically, to me,

must come at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ.

and that could include the earth being moved from it’s place or that could come even later.

God didn’t spell much of that out very clearly at all.
