The obvious problem arising out of the Golden Calf is how could the Jewish people, fresh from the miracles of Egypt, Sea of Reeds, manna and the revelation at Sinai revert to paganism and to the worship of a man-made deity. What possessed them to be so blind as to their own recent experiences and to their stated destiny?
Of course, this incident is the ultimate proof of the allowance for free will in human affairs, even for the most destructive form of free will. And, yet, it is most troubling to realize how seriously error prone the Jewish people can be.

Ping.
I don’t recall reading that the original golden calf danced or pranced. It makes more sense that a golden figurine would just sit there.

Explains voting behaviors as well.
I've wondered how Jews vote so loyally democratic, only to find their elected officials anti-Israel, if not anti-Semitic, only to keep voting the same way...
Let's see "There is none that does Good"... "There is none that seeks for God". If that is the default state of man, where exactly does free will then exist? It exists between the state of sin and the state of iniquity.
Well, thomeone wath pranthing, Thunshine!
LOL - thanks, that’ll help me get through the afternoon!
James 1:14.ASB
14. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.

I would add Proverbs 23:7 to that.
“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
