I read the GQ interview. He gives his personal opinion and then makes clear that Roe vs. Wade was wrongly decided and should be kicked back to the individual states. That’s about my opinion as well.
What I don’t like is that his entire line of strategic reasoning was that whites are going to be a minority in this country in a few decades so let’s all try and be hip and kewl to bring in the blacks and hispanics.
He decides to blow off the RNC Chairman’s traditional grunt work of fundraising and building up the farm team (recruiting and supporting GOP candidates for congressional and lesser office) in favor of becoming a one-man media showhorse and doing all the talk shows. If he didn’t cater so shamelessly to his interviewers as though he were still running for office. If he didn’t water down the conservative message to order. If he would confront these liberal talking heads and explain why conservatism is good for all americans, I wouldn’t object.
He hasn’t even made his appointments yet. That’s why I’ve got a problem with him.
And yes, I’m well aware that the MSM is gleefully doing everything it can to stoke this fire.
Your comment about Steele not making his appointments yet, troubles me. His lack of appointments, is it due to a lack of qualified people? or is he showing signs of an Obama-like personality and trying to be the center of attention?
If it is the former, qualified people need to be found. If it is the latter, then Steele needs to be removed from his position.
On the abortion issue, I personally believe that it will best be solved as a 10th Amendment issue.
I have to agree.
The word incompetence comes to mind. petty is in there somewhere and the acronym RINO is blazing across the sky in my thoughts
