Psalm 137
1By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
2We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
3For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
4How shall we sing the LORD's song in a strange land?
5If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.
6If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.
7Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.
8O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
9Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
If there is grace left, we pray that You would draw the man known as Barack Obama to repentance. We pray that You would send the Congressional Democrats and Republicans both to their knees before Your faith asking for Your forgiveness and repenting from their sins. We ask that national Revival would sweep through the churches and that Spiritual Awakening would mark our future - to our good and to Your glory.
But, if not, we pray that You would be with Your children. Prepare us for what is to come. Help us be clothed in Your armor and in Your righteousness. Should Your Son not return soon, help us not to make You ashamed. Supply our needs and keep us from evil. And help us to pull folks out of the fires of destruction which we see closing in on this nation.
I know that Your judgment will not hold back forever. And I know that a nation with so many murders and false gods polluting its land does not deserve Your mercy - still I call upon You Lord as Your child and ask for forgiveness from my sins and mercy for my nation.
Be our help as You have been so often before. And it is in the blessed name of Christ Jesus my Lord that I pray these things, Amen.
Ping for prayer
Amen. And thank you for the faithful exhortation and encouragement.
Darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people. But the glory of the Lord shall arise upon His people.
(Isaiah 60)
I am almost speechless at the outright evil taking place in Washington right now, and the way those ‘in charge’ are basking in that evil, openly defying God with their lies and actions, including the president of the United States!!! :-O
It simply boggles the mind!!
Prayers going up for true repentance from these people, although my heart is heavy with trepidation that these people may actually be beyond redemption, they are so encased in evil that they wish to impose on us and our children and our grandchildren!! :*(
A prayer and a Ping...a bump when necessary.
Thou hast been our God through all generations. Have mercy upon Thy people. We know that in times of trouble Thou dost prosper Thy church! We look at China and the Sudan.
Grant to us, who are but dust, the grace to give thanks in all things.
May it please Thee to frustrate the designs of evil men in our land lifted up in their pride, and even among their numbers to gather Thine own.
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Amen
Amen.
"Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him."
Daniel 2:20-22
"Fill your lamps!" Prepare yourself to stand and remember, "The Battle is the Lords."
Supreme Court Justices
“Father, in the Name of Jesus, we bring our Supreme Court justices before You. Knowing that they are appointed of men, we pray that You would influence the selection of each new replacement. May they be people who will judge rightly in every matter brought before them.
“As our Supreme Court makes its decisions, we pray that its decrees would be Your decrees. We desire that, by Your hand, godly justice would rise up without our justices and that they would make rulings in line with Your will.
“We pray that they would set a standard of justice and balance for the judicial office at large, not only on a national level but for every adjudicator in our nation.
“We give You thanks, dear Father, knowing it is Your good pleasure and will to work in every level of government.”
And may it be, Merciful Father, that the hearts of those in authority over us would be won by the Power of the Holy Spirit, for You desire that we live peaceably throughout the land. Bring revival we pray, for revival brings life. We seek Your protection for Your beloved Israel and pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, the City of God. Bless them, Jehovah God, that we, too, would be blessed. Amen ...
Lord God, according to Your Word, Your Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are Your children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of Yours and coheirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory. Help me to really embrace the truth that any present sufferings I encounter are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in me (Rom 8:16-18) Lord Jesus, just as Your sufferings flow over into our lives, so also through You our comfort overflows (2Cor 1:5) You are so faithful, in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
Joining in prayer.
Amen.
Lamentations 3:14-26
Father, Your magnificent word reminds us that Your anger against us does not last, and that Your mercy is renewed daily. Father, we have received Your wake-up call, and we kneel before You in praise of Your goodness and glory. Lord, instruct us in Your ways and impart Your strategies to us. Accept us as living sacrifices and fill our mouths with declarations for the creation of Your kingdom here on earth. Father, we declare our trust in You. Hear our supplications and answer us in mighty ways which we do not know. Our hope rests in You, in Christ's name we pray, amen.
