I wasn’t a Gentile then. I was a member. But the recognition that I was being lied to about things like that is one thing that made me take a closer look at the LDS church, which is what led me out. I became a Christian shortly after leaving.

Your story is like so many other I've read here and on other blogs/sites. I am thankful that unlike so many other exmormons who totally rejected God in any way shape or form, you found out Savior.

Well that in a nutshell is why we fight so hard against the LDS. It is so out there that once an individual finally figured everything out, it may well sour them on any other faith. That is the point of my “theft of Christ” concept, they have stolen Christ and corrupted him, so to those whose only experience maybe the LDS it would become a case of guilt by association for the True Body of Christ.
