Obama and Hilary for that matter totally pandered to the Christian right, even though they are secular leftists. Go watch that crazy CNN show on Faith which was handed to Hilary and Obama so they could claim they pray every day and seek God’s guidance in their every decision, and that they are vehicles for God’s will.

But oh, it was so scary that W believed in God. They outdid him. Of course they meant none of it.

I have seen that video, but thanks for alerting more people to see it. I don't think that there is any question about the O being constitutionally ineligible to be president, he isn't.

But it's just academic now, because it would start another civil war bloodier than the first if the SCOTUS were to actually do it's duty and rule him unqualified for the presidency and declare his election null and void. The time for the court to act was during the primary elections, not after he's sworn in and is Commander in Chief of US armed forces. As it so often has before, the SCOTUS failed to act in it's proper role as guardian of the Constitution and put political expediency above the intention of it's authors.

Oh I don't mean to imply that Bush isn't sincere in his belief. And I don't think there is any question about the absurdity of the assertions by the Clintons and their gang.

I just question whether a true Christian, as Bush claims to be, can believe that the bible isn't literally the Word of God. If some parts are true and some parts are only allegorical, how do we know which is which? If the bible accounts of Jesus life and death may or may not be true and accurate, how can we know if He actually was the Son of God who rose from the dead as the human authors claim? All we have to go on as the basis of our faith is the bible, and if Satan can destroy our faith in that book we have nothing left on which we can depend for our salvation except "feelings", and "feelings" won't cut it when we stand before God..

I am not sure that you completely accurate in your pessimistic attitude toward the SCOTUS. I truly hope that you are not. I pray that you are not.

I believe there are at least four good men on the SCOTUS, but I have no faith at all in the integrity of four of the others, and very little in Kennedy. I don’t believe the majority of the black robes would vote to unseat O even if he admitted that he was not born in the US.

IMHO it would probably be worse for the nation if the Court were to try to put O out of office than it would be to leave him in. I believe the black community that is absolutely ecstatic beyond description over O’s inauguration, and the militant young white left wingers who apparently worship him as a divine being who was sent down to earth by some celestial demigod, would literally burn most of the US cities and towns to the ground, and tens of thousands of people on both sides of the eligibility issue would be killed. OTOH, even that might not be as awful as what could happen to the US if he is left in office. I can’t envision a good outcome either way unless God takes a strong hand in our nation’s predicament.

I think there is a good reason why the US isn’t depicted anywhere in bible prophecy. It either won’t be a major power by the time those prophecies are being fulfilled, or it will have been destroyed for it’s rejection of God who created it and protected it for over two centuries.

Truly, we are in difficult times, even knowing which direction to go; support the law of the land or avoid a minor civil war. Unfortunately as we (conservative) obey the law at all costs, the other side does not. Only their agenda matters regardless of the rule of law.
