This sounds just like the Corpus Christi/Spiritus Christi apostasy that occurred in the Diocese of Rochester, NY. Fr. Callan, the pastor led his parishioners to the “Church of What’s Happenin’ Now” and to their excommunications.

This sounds just like the Corpus Christi/Spiritus Christi apostasy that occurred in the Diocese of Rochester, NY. Fr. Callan, the pastor led his parishioners to the “Church of What’s Happenin’ Now” and to their excommunications.

One of those 'rare' occasions when the bishop took action, albeit after the Vatican told him to do so. Yes, I remember the Corpus Christi event quite well. Since then, deaconess Mary Ramen was ordained by the American Catholic Church. It's been a while since I posted this picture. In case you missed it ...

Mary Ramerman is one of the founders of the Spiritus Christi sect in Rochester, New York. Ramerman, a Californian and convert to Catholicism who wished to become a Catholic priest, was encouraged by Fr. James Callan, who had been appointed as pastor of the Corpus Christi parish in Rochester, New York, to migrate to his parish so that he could ordain her.
