I don’t consider that an assertion true for all Christians.
Prospering economically for some would mean the end of their Christianity.
However, I’m convinced that God has means and a will to insure that some—most—???all???—who are utterly sold out to Him in this era will be well provided for.
A number will even prosper miraculously by Holy Spirit’s direction and creativity—though in the midst of super trying times.

I’ve often noted that our USA ambassadors in foreign lands are well provided for . . .
God will NOT be slack in such matters in terms of His ambassadors in this increasingly sin saturated era we are ambassadors in—strangers in a strange land in.
GOD IS NOT A VENDING MACHINE—particularly to our whims, selfish interests and presumptions in contrast to God’s leading, God’s priorities and will.
However, the Scriptures related to such matters ARE TRUE AND DEPENDABLE.

It is best in these days to keep your ears and eyes open. Test everything and accept what is good. And of course pray.
