Easy answer: walk the kids using a different route, maybe by a church or cathedral. Problem solved.
Heaven forbid one would want to take the kids shopping.
There are no easy answers.
Brilliant response! Simply brilliant!
Not easy.
Yours is a typical cop out response by one who wants his 24/7 access to prurience, no matter how it is unraveling values and the backbone of our society.
The sleazy stuff is ubiquitous and unavoidable now. Last time I looked, malls were supposed to be family-friendly, not packaged for the seedier appetites.
Do you suggest kids get corralled Taliban-style— to tight little enclaves of existence ( only walk by churches Cathedrals..etc) so the underbelly among us have their sleaze fix close at hand, anywhere, anytime?
Repulsive.
You said — “Easy answer: walk the kids using a different route, maybe by a church or cathedral. Problem solved.”
It permeates society so that when you’re not around, it’s with ads, billboards, TV and radio commercials, songs, friends and how they talk at school, the attitudes of their friends (and even in so-called “Christian schools”, too...). There won’t be any “other route” to take to get away from it...
The window displays at Victoria’s Secret in our mall are the same thing you’d see in those Amsterdam brothels you read about. I try to get my kids to purposely look the other way. I’ve been teaching them to guard their eyes and tell them it’s okay to NOT look at something. I guess the occasional trip to the mall gives them practice, sorry to say.
I’ve never seen a church or cathedral in a shopping mall. Have you?
In the mall? Which mall has a church or cathedral?
Why can’t the people who want to see the porn go off in their little corners and do it behind closed doors, like the liberals want Christians to do with religion?
