WASHINGTON, D.C. – Earlier this week, Congressman André Carson joined the U.S. House of Representatives Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, and Transgender (LBGT) Equality Caucus. The mission of the LGBT Equality Caucus is to achieve the extension of equal rights, the repeal of discriminatory laws, the elimination of hate-motivated violence, and the improved health and well being for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.
“It is indeed an honor and great privilege for me to serve as a member of the LGBT Equality Caucus,” said Congressman André Carson. “Working to ensure that no American is discriminated against because of their sexual orientation or gender is something that I take very seriously in my role as an elected official.”
The LGBT Equality Caucus was co-founded by Wisconsin Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin and Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank. The Caucus will serve as a resource for Members of Congress, their staffs, and the public on LGBT issues. Congressional action this session on legislation combating hate crimes and employment discrimination highlighted the need, and the desire people had, for more information on LGBT issues.
“I welcome Andre Carson’s participation in this caucus, and I appreciate his commitment to achieving equality for all Americans,” said Rep. Barney Frank.
The Caucus will address not only U.S. domestic policies but also our nation’s foreign policy to safeguard the human rights of LGBT people in all parts of the world.
Why is a self-proclaimed devout, orthodox, practicing Moslem teaming up with "Tammy Bawdwin" and "Bawney Fwank" to support the homosexual agenda?

Does Congress have a Straight, White, Christian Caucus yet? If not, why not?
His mother, Julia, was a big supporter of every far-left cause when she was a Member of Congress. As she lay on her deathbed, she willed her seat to her son, Andre. Probably all of her old policy positions, staff and bagmen came with the seat. Andre never demonstrated much intelligence as a City-County Council Member, so I doubt he could set these things up by himself.
I thought it was the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) not LGBT. When did the lesbians get first billing over the gays. I guess they must have arm wrestled for naming rights.
Within the white Liberal establishment that supports the black voters in this particular Congressional district, it appears there's quite a strong block of homosexual activists who are in a position to demand serious respect.
By joining the GLBTXYZONESIZEFITSALL caucus, grandson cuts the legs, and other items, out from under the next gay guy who thinks he wants to challenge him in a primary.
The secret for the Republicans is NOT to run a homosexual against this guy, but to run an honest candidate. I suspect the Moslems who've been doing the heavy lifting by knocking doors may be ready to support some candidate who does not bring them this particular shame.
I'm trying real hard to remember any serious Moslem politician in the world who's ever gotten away with catering to the gays in public. Just not ringing any bells in there. Right now the bad boys in Mecca are probably working on a rule that's gonna' keep Indiana Moslems out of the Haj 'cause you just can't tell what they're up to these days.
I don’t see why, when a Congressman leaves office due to any reason, a new person gets “chosen”. They should just hold another election. The world won’t come to a halt because there is one less Senator or Representative.

Why am I not surprised at an Islamic rep.? it just shows hypocrisy from such a rep. How is it then, that the Muslim world ;ectures the west about morals constantly?
You’re right- Julia was his grandmother, not his mother. I have tried to blot that woman out of my memory to no avail, but some of the details have been lost, I guess.
Andre’s campaign staff implied that Elrod was gay in the special election, and Elrod wisely chose not to run in the regular election. Still, that was no reason for the GOP to offer up a sacrificial lamb this time. Perhaps it was for the best, since Obama won the 7th district in a landslide.
I just wonder if white people are ever going to wake up?
