But when Proposition 8 landed on November's ballot, the Spring Valley couple did everything they could to ensure that the constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage got passed. They made phone calls. They attended prayer rallies. They fasted for 40 days.
For the Ferreiras, as for so many other people motivated to action by Proposition 8, the measure wasn't just a matter of politics. It was about family, faith and the future of the country.

hmm how long before this couple is targeted by radicals?
Why doesn’t this couple move to a country where voters get to decide issues like this and...oh, wait...
The radicals will have no problem killing them. They have no principles but to promote the “right” to pursue sex and money. They will do anything for their own selfish lust.
I submit reasonable scholarship must conclude Christian faith cannot advocate homosexual marriage. The entire Bible, in speaking of the character, identity, and purpose of God, continuously addresses the issue of homosexual behavior. The scriptures say that in addition to creating all things, God created a single institution, which was marriage between a man and woman as the earthy manifestation of the oneness relationship He seeks with all human beings.
Throughout the Bible He is spoken of as masculine, and all humans become feminine in relation to Him: become the Bride of Christ. To restore relationship lost in Eden, God sent Christ to die for all human sins, but people must repent of, reject all our sins. To pursue fornication, adultery, or homosexual behavior is to reject His identity and His character, and therefore repudiate His gift of salvation.
In Him absolute righteousness and absolute love achieves perfect justice. The scriptures provide no prescription for this problem, but pose a moral paradox requiring one to come before Him. His solution compromises neither His righteousness, nor His unconditional love in guiding each person who struggles through a fallen world, and lives with a fallen nature.
In advocating homosexual marriage, Christian leaders must abandon sound scholarship, and adjust and select scriptures to fabricate a god of their own design. The result is comforting, popular, and easily controlled. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob remains timeless, all knowing, all powerful; terrible, unconditionally loving, and awaits humanity’s plea to Him.

In Romans 1, it says three times that God “gave them up” to depravity for lack of thankfulness, etc. Consider that God, having greatly blessed America, is giving up America. In spite of 40 states having voted to ban gay marraige, judges overturn their votes. Legislatures create civil (gay) unions as equal to marraige. This country is being given up to depravity. Sad, but true.
It really struck me when I was flipping through the channels yesterday on the TV. I rarely watch TV, but was waiting for my wife to get ready so we could go out.
First I hit CNN. There within a space of 5 seconds, the host used “J-—s Ch-—t” as an expletive, the word “b-—h” and then got bleeped for the F word. This is a “host” on CNN.
I hit the channel change button.
Then I went to one of the networks, I don’t know which. I landed on a “comedy” show about two gay guys. Ha, ha, ha, very funny.
I hit the channel change button.
Then I flipped through other stations. I got some famous hollywood celebrity station talking about some star’s sexual escapades, hetero- and homosexual.
Click.
I went down a channel and then got some gay interior designer show on the Home and Garden station.
At which point I said that’s enough and turned the TV off.
This is one sick country.

In advocating homosexual marriage, Christian leaders must abandon sound scholarship, and adjust and select scriptures to fabricate a god of their own design.Why not just create an entirely new religion, as L. Ron Hubbard did?
It looks like that is how people actually solve the problem. They seem to backwards engineer from the objective into scriptures. I guess people hang a sign saying Christian on it kind of like you would the Good Housekeeping seal.
Might as well complete the circle, I suppose. . .
