I’ve worked with a couple of men from Ghana who got a good chuckle at Kwanzaa. They refered it as a holiday for those who are “unconfortable in their own skin” .

.....demand that my culture be respected by getting time off for my harvest festival... and a couple of extra days for the post Oktoberfest hangover too. ...Karl, you reprobate, the Ohio Supreme Court has already ruled that you have no standing to make such demands. In fact, I dare say that your retro-attitude reeks of gender-normative, eurocentric, patriarchal, hegemonic, darwinian capitalist tendencies.
On my authority as an Obamba-naut, I order you and all your friends of like Politically Incorrect mind to have a drink at a succession of the many VFW Bars in your part of Ohio. Each day of Kwanzaa, meet at a different VFW and talk about Kwanzaa amongst yourselves. Keep doing this until the spirit of Kwanzaa overcomes the hardness of your heart, or until you are arrested.
I have it on good authority that the theory of the "Designated Driver" began during a Kwanzaa Festival long ago in Senegal

It’s a separatist, America-hating, anti Christian/Judaism, marxist fake holiday.
To: JennysCool
Right. As soon as white people started celebrating Kwanzaa, they'd have to invent something else only for them.

More than 30 million people in America celebrate Kwanzaa, according to a spokesperson from the African American Cultural Center. Yea, and im better looking than Brad Pitt and smarter than Albert Einstein.

Remember how the Germans in the 1930’s revived ancient Nordic harvest festival concepts.
It did not turn out to be for all people.
Neither is this.

I was just telling my wife this morning that I might just shave and take a shower tonight.....just in the hopes of getting some umoja.
She told me to shovel the driveway.

I used to have a roommate that would celebrate too. He would call in sick to work, order KFC and drink grape soda. And he would announce this to everyone that came to our house.
I cringed.
