Contraception is taking reproduction out of God's hands and placing reproduction in the hands of man.

Vaccination is taking infection out of God's hands and placing infection in the hands of man.

Electricity is taking illumination out of God's hands and placing illumination in the hands of man.

Dentistry is taking tooth decay out of God's hands and placing tooth decay in the hands of man.

Etc., etc., etc.

Electricity,Vaccination,dentistry etc.. does not produce life,they sustain life.

Contraception prevents life just like abortion

It is not the will of God that we suffer from disease; a physician therefore conforms to the will of God as he practices his profession.

Likewise an engineer makes something out of materials God provided to him, such as electricity.

But contraception is not making anything, it is preventing divine design of the human body to operate as intended by Him. In that sense, it is similar to abortion or any other form of murder, as stfassisi remarked, albeit it is not criminal.
