So you can’t show us any religious notions in his observations either.

Oh, I guess I passed up an opportunity to be as visible as possible regarding my faith. Perhaps Ill do it this way: Ill take my family to lunch after church this Sunday, and go to the same cafe that all the other attendees frequent. Ill be sure to speak really LOUDLY about Jesus; in fact, Ill utter the name of Jesus at least twice in every sentence. Ill make sure that my fellow parishoners know that Im more saved than theyll ever be! All throughout, Ill run my waitress ragged, and then after two hours, leave her a bible tract instead of a tip because, after all, Ive already given my money to God today. Is this how you truly view Christianity?

If we’re going to post quotes, let’s go right to the source: The bible tells us that pi=3, yet we know that pi is an irrational number that is equal to 3.14 rounded to 2 decimal places. Could the bible be equally wrong (figurative, that is) regarding Genesis?

No. That’s how many people who practice Christianity competitively conduct themselves. I know many of them. To them, each utterance of the name “Jesus” brings them closer to salvation. It’s almost as though they calculate a “Jesus” density in their speech: Number of times “Jesus” is spoken divided by total number of words spoken. The higher the density, the more likely they are to be above the rapture cut-off line.
And I know far too many waitstaff who have been stiffed by churchgoers with a tract.

You’re going through quite some gymnastics there to avoid the question!

What a shame people are going to churches that say homosexuality is normal, that the way to salvation is by saying Jesus x number of times, and what a shame people think this is what Christianity is all about.
A Christ centered church is the way to go.
It sounds to me like you have a profound teaching opportunity there! Have you pursued any of these avenues open to you?

In looking over this thread I’m relieved to see it’s all science, so far.

The way it was used, the poster was expressing his own opinion (right or wrong) - not speaking for you.

Sorry, but I ascribe grander powers to God than you do. [excerpt]
But not so grand as to speak everything into existence in the space of six days, like He said He did...
To limit God to using the laws of physics over vast amounts of time is to deny His power.

I assume that your statement derives from a belief that every word of the bible is literally true.

LoL!
People never tire of whipping out that old bedraggled strawman and proudly standing it up and saying
Yeah, well trump this!
You are most certainly welcome to assume
whatever you jolly well like.
Foolish assumptions make for good entertainment ;-)

Exactly how Evolutionists do science!
First they assume, then they declare their assumption verified.
You have a nice night too.
