This is an excellent piece about the state of higher education in America, the elites who run it, and what it's producing. Hedges, a self-proclaimed atheist who holds a seminary degree from Harvard, brilliantly diagnoses the elitist attitude in higher education and its rotten fruit. . .

I read the blog post and then followed back to the original article. I don’t think I will be able to make it through that bile without losing my breakfast. Good thing is it is almost time for lunch.
The OPENING sentence:
“The multiple failures that beset the country, from our mismanaged economy to our shredded constitutional rights to our lack of universal health care to our imperial debacles in the Middle East, can be laid at the feet of our elite universities.”
Our economy was mismanaged. Investigate Barney Frank for blocking investigations into Freddie Mae BEFORE this came to pass.
Our elite universities are overwhelmingly pro-communist.
What is this guy smoking?
Y’all need to read the whole piece. I don’t agree with everything he says, but Hitchens nails much of the problem regarding higher education. THAT is what the piece is about. Don’t just knee-jerk.
