To: Tax-chick

This was talked about last night on Lou Dobbs. That guy Donohue from the Catholic League was on. Frankly, I don’t think donohue helped to give a clear message about the CC’s position on abortion. He sounded to me that it would be wrong to vote for obama because of his position on abortion, but okay to vote for him if you’re worried about the economy. I don’t believe Donohue really meant that, but I don’t think he was clear. We need people who can talk and talk clearly in complete sentences. It sounded as if he was equivocating. I know people who I thought were good Catholics who voted for obama.

Bill Donohue is a noodle, and I mean that in a nice way. However, he’s not the clearest communicator we’ve got. One of the Midwestern Bishops, Burke or Bruskewitz or Chaput, could have explained things much better. Donohue gets on the news because he’s a convenient person to call when there’s *any* Catholic topic.
