The ability to deceive oneself is so common that I always fear I have been exercising it. For someone pretending to be a Catholic to vote for the Dear Leader-elect requires an almost oluntary cessation of thought, as far as I can tell.
"Seamless garment" rightly understood, is a fine thought. But it's a lousy excuse.
