Do not use potty language - or references to potty language - on the Religion Forum.
She said "No, tell him I forgive him."
This person has a very poor understanding of the Christian doctrine of forgiveness. If the perpetrator hasn't truly repented and asked for forgiveness, no real Christian is obligated to offer any.
In fact, it's a terrible idea and very un-Christian thing to do. All this person has done is enable the perpetrator to commit even more acts of violence. How is that Christian?
The proper Christian response is to demand that an arrest be made and then follow through on the prosecution.
Anything else simply aids and abets the commision of evil.
