My parents’ pastor is a 5-pointer. My cousin’s husband once told Pastor that “If it hadn’t been for Carol bringing me to church, I never would have been saved.” Pastor said, “Yes, you would have.” (alluding to the Election point). The church never has evangelists. Missionary effort is dismal compared to most Baptist churches. His ministry is focused on visiting the sick and elderly and that’s about it. Sad.
I don’t care if someone’s a 5-pointer or not; “go ye into all the world and preach the gospel” is still there — so do it!

Shame on that Pastor and church for neglecting the Gospel in missions and outreach.
A Calvinist will be urgent about preaching the Gospel and Missions because we know that it is only by hearing the Word of God that Faith comes.

Absolutely. I'm a serious 5-pointer, and I take missionary work as vitally important to the church. Keep in mind, though, that the mission field doesn't have to be overseas - it could be next door.
Reformed Theology puts the Great Commission in a slightly different context for me. I don't have to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all men because someone might go to Hell if I don't. I have to do it because I love God and want to obey His commandments.
