Liberal Catholics who voted for Obama should take note:

“In fact, when we were with you, we instructed you that if anyone was unwilling to work, neither should that one eat. We hear that some are conducting themselves among you in a disorderly way, by not keeping busy but minding the business of others. Such people we instruct and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to work quietly and to eat their own food.”

Even as we await the Final Coming, we should work to feed ourselves and our families, to help our neighbors, to improve the world. We should not sit there saying, “Oh, Holy Obama, give me some pie! Pay my mortgage! Give me free universal healthcare!”

Such is not the nature of Christian charity, that the government should rob those who work and give the spoils to those who sit around and do nothing. The difference between helping others charitably yourself, and voting for a government that will rob the productive to pay those who vote for them, is the difference between night and day.

"As believers, in our lives we already are with the Lord -- our future, eternal life, has already begun.

That is a powerful and consoling truth!!
