For some time, through FReepmail, several FReepers have provided each other with a way to share prayer requests and praises. Now that the Non-denominational category has been established at Freerepublic, we are offering a weekly thread in which posts of your requests and praises are welcome. Anyone, regardless of denomination, is welcome to bring their concerns here. The one thing that we hope to establish here, is that at a set time on Sunday evening, 11:00 p.m. in the Eastern time zone, 10:00 p.m. Central time, 9:00 p.m. Mountain time, and 8:00 p.m. Pacific time, we will as a group, lift these concerns up in prayer. Individual prayer at any time is, of course, encouraged. If anyone desires to post an "anonymous" request, just word it in a manner such as: " Please lift up my prayer (or praise) for a personal concern."

We have not heard any news yet regarding this mother and child. Please keep them in your prayers:

A situation has come to my attention that has made me quite sick. There’s a woman who’s intentionally become pregnant for personal gain. Her plan is to have an abortion after her ends are met.
She’s doing nothing illegal and there’s nothing any human being can do to save this baby. (There is no doubt that she really is pregnant.) This is in G-d’s hands. Please pray with me that her heart will be touched and that she won’t go through with her plans. There is absolutely nothing that I can do to stop her.

This evening and every day for the next month, believers in God’s Sovereignty and Mercy need to be in prayer for calm to settle upon our nation, so that the wickedness rising does not accomplish the breakdown of social order resulting in murder and mayhem such as was seen when Barack Obama’s man in Kenya failed to win that election.
Pray for an awakening of the people to their responsibility, to pay attention to the actual values of candidates and to vote for the candidates who uphold life and freedom as shown with their record in office and life.

For myself, I still am having problems with many foods. I have been doing fairly well as I am eating a very limited diet and only trying small amounts of new foods so that if I do have any reaction, it’s very mild and tolerable; IOW, I can still function reasonably well.

I’m also still having trouble with carpal tunnel. My hands give me trouble often and the pain wakes me up at night frequently. I have not been sleeping well for the last several weeks. I finally went to the dr and he prescribed wrist braces and some NSAID. It has helped already but is not a healing. I’m also experiencing stiffness in my hands which I think is the beginning of arthritis. :(

My cholesterol is high and the doctor wants me on statins. I’m trying adjusting what I eat as much as I can tolerate, and lots more walking and exercise. Problem is the diet angle is not much of an option. I can’t eat the fruits and vegetables I need to and would like to eat. I DO NOT want to go on statins. IMO, the side effects are worse than the condition that it’s supposed to treat.

I’d certainly appreciate continued prayer for all these physical situations.

I’d also appreciate prayer for part time jobs for my two youngest. One is in college and is looking for some work study and the other is high school age and wants some part time work as well. Please pray that the Lord would direct them to where He wants them to work.

My oldest is struggling with calc in college this semester.

Praise: A friend got healed from diabetes and high cholesterol this week.

Thanks so much for your continued prayers, and again, let me know where we stand on the rest so I can return the favor and pray for others.

I will be praying before I go to bed tonight but am going to have to hit the sack early because of daylight savings time. I have a long day ahead of me and HAVE to get the rest.

One quick prayer request for tonight. My youngest daughter (16) is looking for a part time job. She’s applied to a few places last night and has more in mind, but has one job she’d really like to get. They are hiring for Christmas and looking at applications at this time.

Please pray that she would get the job she wants.
