This is great. Three weeks ago my friend began a bible study
at our Church based on Paul. I attended the first session as was mesmerized as was the entire group. Less than a week later she entered
the hospital with Pneumonia and was diagnosed with 4th stage
cancer. She passed away this day before yesterday. She was
taken so fast we are still spinning. She had a great devotion to Paul. I never noticed these postings until now and I am grateful to you, because until we find someone like
my friend Dorothy who can teach us more about Paul your postings will bring me great Joy.

Pope Benedict XVI has declared a special year be dedicated to St. Paul. We are in that year - it began on June 28, 2008 and will end on June 29, 2009. You can see some of the Pope's earlier reflections on St. Paul in the links at reply #2. There are other meditations on St. Paul by the Holy Father. For example, there is the homily he gave to open the Pauline year.
