24 Producer Howard Gordon Withdraws Endorsement of Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West
The American Muslim ^ | October 5, 2008 | Sheila Musaji

According to a press release from the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Gordon, who is the executive producer of Fox’s drama “24”, released a statement in which he said:

“After being contacted by a number of people whose opinions I respect and after reviewing Obsession with their criticisms and concerns in mind, I have asked the film makers to remove my endorsement from the Obsession website and from any future promotional materials. While I remain committed to the film’s essential message—that the hate-mongering promoted by radical Islamism presents a real threat to western values of tolerance and pluralism—I also appreciate that the goal of co-existence and tolerance is not being served by films like Obsession.”

He doesn’t want to end up like Van Gogh did a couple of years ago.

I just got a copy of this in the mail a couple of days ago. I have no idea where they got my name and address but I intend on watching it this weekend.

Another naive Infidel who has not read the Koran and Hadiths.

A Muslims religious obligation of subjugating, converting or killing nonbelievers in Allah is made that much easier by Infidels thinking you can coexist in a tolerant world with fundamental Muslims.

I got my copy as a Sunday Advertising Supplement several weeks ago. Whoever says (that's you, CAIR) that the movie is divisive hasn't watched the whole thing. The last 1/3 of the movie makes great pains to say that it's only the radical fundamentalists that have sworn jihad on the West that are to blame.

I received my copy a couple weeks ago. I'm not sure how I was selected to receive it, as I did not request it. I watched it to nearly its entirety. I ran out of time, but will watch the conclusion soon.

I have not formed an opinion of it yet, as I am not well-versed in Islam. The Koran experts kept emphasizing that "jihad" is a spiritual struggle, merely a metaphor...

There is no such religious obligation in Islam. Where did you get that idea? Do you actually know any Muslims?

I can tell you never read the Koran and Hadiths either.

I am not a religous person but have read the bible and the Koran and Hadiths.

Christianity poses no threat to non believers based on the bible. Individuals might try to subjugate non Christians but there is no justification in Scripture.

Islam is different story. I have the same interpretation of Islam as the Wahabbis.

Many so-called Muslims are not practicing the religion as outlined in the Koran and Hadiths.(As many Christians are not practicing their religion as outlined in the New Testament) Some Muslims are actually Infidel collaborators and useful idiots for us. The Muslim fundamentalists will kill them quicker than they will kill us Infidels when the opportunity presents itself. Zarqawi did a lot of that in Iraq. Nobody likes traitors.

Putting your head in the sand is not going to solve this problem, anymore than getting yourself in good physical condition is going to get rid of cancer. You got to face the fatal facts and they can be found in the Koran and Hadiths and not in feel good, fellow man, same God, nonsense. - tom

Thanks for clarifying. So you are referring only to Wahhabis, not to Muslims as a whole.
