For the last three Sundays, I've heard one sermon/homily after another about voting one's conscience. In the end, each priest has said more or less that it is unconscionable for a true Catholic to vote for any candidate that is openly in favor of women killing their children. Yes, there are other issues, and none of them should be discounted, but life is THE most important issue when one is deciding.
I never even heard the parties named, but yesterday, our darling new associate, basically told the congregation that it is our responsibility to be informed regarding not simply politics, but what the church teaches, her history, etc. He's absolutely right.
