We aren’t surprised, at least I’m not, because I realize for the most part that Mormons are conservative and are good and decent people.

“Why not try to figure out real problems that might actually affect you ...”

-— Or those like you? Whom Christians happen to care about.

“... making him defend his faith.”

-— Which you will not do, and I’m beginning to see why.

“... and change our laws ...”

-— Is polygamy in your religious laws?

(HIT ABUSE BUTTON NOW)

“It rude and uncalled for.”

-— Like, answering while you know the poster of the original comment is gone.

Believe it, Freeplancer, the poster was making an accurate assessment of what is in the minds of many, including me: WE CARE, and do not understand how intelligent people can fall for such as is believed in Mormonism. Furthermore, it seems that no one will stand up for the beliefs of their own religion of Mormonism. All I’ve seen thus far are posts such as yours and worse — much worse — trashing Christians for trying to ask how Mormons can call themselves Christians when the teachings of Mormonism clearly go against God’s word.

Can you say in your heart and here aloud that Jesus and Lucifer were brothers? If so, how?

Can you say that Mormonism is or, even accepts, Christianity given all the terrible things said by Mormon leaders about Christianity? If so, how?

On and on I could go.

Was Joseph Smith greater than Jesus?

WILL ANY ONE OF YOU STAND UP AND DECLARE JOSEPH SMITH’S WORDS WERE RIGHT AND GOD-INSPIRED EVEN THOUGH THEY DENY THE SUPREMACY OF JESUS??? ANY OF YOU???

Please either say you accept or deny. It’s that simple.

NO ONE IS BASHING YOU OR TRASHING YOUR RELIGION.

Every single person who professes to be a Christian truly cares about YOU, your walk with Christ (and not a prophet, if you believe J.S. to have been so) and, most importantly, cares about your soul and eternal future. I do. I believe you are looking for the way to Christ or else you would not have fallen for the false beliefs of Mormonism. PLEASE read your Bible and then read it again. When you can reconcile the beliefs of Mormonism with the Word, please let me know how.

PLEASE, do it for your own sake and for those whom you love. Grant yourself the favor of having a mind toward Christ and read the Bible for yourself.

Jesus Christ died for you. He means for you to know HIM, and by doing so and through Him, knowing whom you refer to as “Heavenly Father.”

You are loved.

You are loved.

YOU ARE LOVED.

Your first comment (#18) here was to call the other the other posters “cowards” and a “mob” so stop whining.
If some LDS member posts under an “open” designation then you’ll just have to hitch up your bunny feet jammies and deal with it.

I believe in freedom of religion, just as I believe in free will that God grants all of us.

The reason I ask you that has nothing to do with wanting to restrict your freedom of religion or free will, it has to do with asking you why you would believe in a book that contradicts the Holy Word of God?

You cannot say you believe in the Bible as God’s Holy (and sealed) Covenant that He died on the Cross for us for, and then say BUT it is okay to add a whole new appendix to that “outdated” Word.

That reasoning contradicts the Bible itself.

So, what is the harm, then for you to not put your trust in the Book of Mormon but simply and Scripturally, just in the Word of God?

Since you know exactly what the Bible says, can you please explain all of revelations to me? When you get to heaven, say a prayer for me.

Wait, why don’t you know what the Bible says?

And there is no such thing as praying from heaven. The only one who can intercede for us on earth is Jesus. Once you die, it’s over.

I’m not claiming to be a bible expert, what I know any child who reads it can understand it.

All I’m asking is why can’t you just boot the Book of Mormon, since it contradicts the very essence of a Covenant

Because a covenant is an agreement or contract. You cannot add to it without CHANGING it.

This is what the Book of Mormon tries to do.

Yet, we are told that the Word actually IS the Lord Jesus, the Eternal Word made flesh.

Anyone who plays around with the text is in big trouble. It says it over and over again.

That’s all.

What would your faith be without the Book of Mormon?

What does it do for you?

What does it promise you that the Bible does not?

That’s my question...

Question: Why does the Book Of Mormon always have to refer to IMPLIED ERRORS in the Bible for authenticity?

So how do they get away with saying they believe the way traditional Christians believe then do a flip and say what they really believe in their books that the average person doesn’t read ....

Because MOST people have NO clue as to what the BIBLE says!

(And; we Flying INMAN's aren't around all the time to get the TRUTH out! ;^)

What do the Mormons say about this?

They 'believe' what JS told them to believe; so they 'say' that the ANGEL took them away!

What exact denomination are you a member of? Oh yeah, I forgot, you won’t tell, and all your little buddies that you pinged in a wink and a nod won’t tell either.

Divide and conquer don't work here, Son.

The reason there are so many MORMON Organizations  is because the Bible is subject to every spin that comes down the pike,
along with disagreements about all the other 'scriptures' that the faithful are SUPPOSED to BELIEVE in: BoM, D&C's, PGP, BoA... ad nauseum.

"We do not indorse the teachings of any so-called Mormons or Latter Day Saints, which are in conflict with the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as taught in the New Testament and the Book of Mormon. They have departed in a great measure from the faith of the Church of Christ as it was first established, by heeding revelations given through Joseph Smith, who, after being called of God to translate his sacred word--the Book of Mormon--drifted into many errors and gave many revelations to introduce doctrines, ordinances and offices in the church, which are in conflict with Christ's teachings."

-- David Whitmer (an elder in the Church of Christ), 1887

Today, there are as many as 100 organizations claiming to be a part of the Latter Day Saint movement, most centered in Utah or Missouri. Most regard their own group, however small, to be the only legitimate Christian church. Most of these organizations are very small, but overall, but the second largest denomination, the Community of Christ, reports over 200,000 members.

Just a sampling...........

And the LATEST in the news: FUNDAMENTALIST Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
