Science isn’t religious which means it can’t be atheist either.

Correct. Although from a purely philosophical (i.e. not political) standpoint I would categorize "atheism" as a religion, too, as it is the firm belief in the non-existence of God. Agnosticism, now that's something different.

And it doesn’t belong exclusively to atheists either.

Correct. Science is a method. There a biologists that recognize the facts of evolution and yet at the same time are deeply religious men that go to church every sunday, because they believe that the beauty of nature - their subject matter - is no coincidence. However, they do not base their professional findings on personal religion.

Let BOTH be taught BY SCIENTISTS...I agree whoileheartedly with Palin, the more I read about her the better I feel about her!

As I said: Both should be taught. But not as science. One is science, because it can be reproduced by experiment and observation, one is philosophy, or to be precise, teleology. One example: If creationism is correct, the earth and the universe are a few thousand years old and not billions. Which in turn would mean that Einstein and the theory of (general) relativity are wrong. Without which no satellite communication, no GPS, no stealth fighters, no intercontinental missiles etc.

Both science and Christianity are correct, in their own way, both must coexist seperately and not be mixed and the boundaries blurred. To quote Winston Churchill, who believed that the fate of our civilization rests upon a scientifically literate population:

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property - either as a child, a wife, or a concubine - must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen; all know how to die; but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science - the science against which it had vainly struggled - the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient" Rome.

It sounds like we agree on pretty much everything else.

Scientists should be free to present their ideas, no matter their worldview.

This is not happening.

www.dissentfromdarwin.org

The godless are hijaqcking science just like they’re doing journalism, politics (in the hypocrat party), history, law...etc.

These insane lawsuits and censorship need to stop.

I like your last comments...science could be instrumental in “proving God exists” for all we know.

Under this hostile atmosphere it never could though.

In the current atmosphere science is being stifled by the hate-God anti-Christian godless liberals.

And one can see the results from the junk science of algoreacles hot air cult to the pathetic results of education or what passes for it in schools overall.

Kids aren’t graduating and if they are, their districts are so poor they can’t even meet the minimum standards and are decertified as Clayton County Georgia schools just were yesterday.

And NOW their solution is to make sure Christian kids learning about ID aren’t allowed to enter college?

That again isn’t about the science!

It’s not about the science or the education, it’s about socializing kids to the godless worldview.

Decent people shouldn’t have to pay for both private and public failed liberal schools.

>>>>>> Another thing....evolution THEORY isn’t even allowed to be challenged period and of course like everything else has been hijacked by godless liberals, taught to children as something it’s not.

Note these SCIENTISTS opinions.
