Why are any Christian parents paying for their children to attend Georgetown? Even assuming that it has some kind of okay educational programs, you can find that anywhere, cheaper.

Georgetown bills itself as a "Catholic and Jesuit university," but if you go to the "administration" page, you discover that there are no Jesuits in the administration at all. You have to go down to the "mission and ministry" office (almost at the bottom of the page) to find someone with "S.J." after his name.

How is Georgetown really any different from the George Washington U., or the University of Maryland, for that matter? It's tempting to blame the Jebbies or the Church for the mess, but the fact is, it looks like they've abrogated all meaningful control.

Someone should sue Georgetown for false advertising. It's a secular school with a thin veneer of Catholicism, little more than a memory.
