For some time, through FReepmail, several FReepers have provided each other with a way to share prayer requests and praises.

Now that the Non-denominational category has been established, we are offering a weekly thread in which posts of your requests and praises are welcome.

Anyone, regardless of denomination, is welcome to bring their concerns here.

As svcw has been unable to shepherd the prayer thread for the past few weeks, I am posting this in her absence. If those of you who wish, care to continue the practice of joining in a communal prayer as has been the practice, please feel free to do so as is described below:

The one thing that we hope to establish here, is that at a set time on Sunday evening, 11:00 p.m. in the Eastern time zone, 10:00 p.m. Central time, 9:00 p.m. Mountain time, and 8:00 p.m. Pacific time, we will as a group, lift these concerns up in prayer. Individual prayer at any time is, of course, encouraged.

If anyone desires to post an "anonymous" request, just word it in a manner such as: " Please lift up my prayer (or praise) for a personal concern." Additional anonymity can be gained by sending a request or praise to mhgintn or greyfoxx39 via FReepmail.

From your request last week, "Also, please pray for my unborn baby as I am having an ultrasound on the 18th to look for congenital heart defects along with any other problems. My husband and I lost our first baby due to major heart defects and this will be the first time the doctors get a good look at this baby. I am very worried although I know it is all in God’s hands. Thank you for any prayers."

Can you update us on the results of the ultrasound? Praying that it was a good one.

First, thank you all so much for prayers. They really do work! I had the u/s today and everything looks perfect! My husband and I are so incredibly happy and feel so blessed.

Oh, and we found out it's a baby BOY! I have a picture on my profile page :-)

Our beloved Freeper, Trueblackman, is need of our prayers. He was hospitalized earlier this week. I asked if we could start a prayer thread for him. He said he would be very appreciative of his fellow Freepers' prayers. So, thank you in advance, and please address your comments to Trueblackman. Hopefully his condition will stabilize and he'll be able to go home soon. Okay, Kevin, we’re praying for you; please get well soon.

I have Ovarian Cancer, stage 3 with luck and go to surgery Monday.
I wish all of you with wives and daughters, and ladies, would go to the Johns Hopkins Oncology Gyn website and review the symptoms.
It is usually in late stages when diagnosed because of the vague symptoms which I wrote off because I thought I was just getting old.
And ladies, insist your gyn do ovarian ultrasound every year. There is no reason for us to be dying of this disease.
I will keep you all in mind and if anyone has been thru this, I would appreciate a note. Thank you again!! Pat

I am an ovarian cancer survivor.
August 1, 1987 I was told I have this dreaded cancer.
On Oct 1, 1987 after I decided to end treatment I was told I had six months to live if I did not continue.
Praise God for divine healing. I pray tonight for total and complete healing for our FR friend. Dear Lord be with her during this trial and heal her mind and body of despair and disease. You are the great physician. We thank You Lord for what You are about to do. We praise You Lord.

Thank you so much for sharing that. I'm sure Pat/cajungirl needs to hear that this is only a bump in her road. I have offered to her that she needs to get to laughing. I even posted a link to a Borge video like THIS. Laughter releases and creates certain enzymes that the body uses to fight disease and regulate cell apoptosis.

When my hair started to fall out, I took control and went out in the back yard and shaved my head. It may seem strange but I needed to be in control of my hair.
My friend bought me some really cool scarves to wear.
The secretary at my daughter's elementary school told me that the scarves were just not me. So I went out and bought a florescent pink and blue cap, everyone got the giggles over that stupid cap. Even after all these years people will mention it. I watched allot of Laural and Hardy (funny stupid stuff) and really laughed. I was determined to not be a victim of this disease. My prayers will be with her. And thank You Lord for divine healing.

I learned today that one of my grandsons was rear-ended in an accident yesterday. He was on a Vespa scooter, and was hit by a car.

He is suffering head injuries, and could use some prayers. I’ve been praying for him, but I need some backup.

Thanks to Jesus, he is still alive.

Lord take hold of this boy and not only heal his injuries, but awaken his caution circuitry.

Thanks, MHG! He wasn’t wearing a helmet, so he needs lots of cautionary prayers. I appreciate all that can be sent!

He was a drug baby, and has had a lot of challenges in his life. He managed to graduate with honors, but he is still lacking in some areas.

I know Jesus has my grandson in His Loving Hands, but it is so hard to sit by and watch.
