Daily Pray for America Thread (8-18-08)

America has been greatly blessed by God and has stood as the greatest country in the history of the world for over 200 years. America has many foreign and domestic enemies that are seeking her destruction.

This thread is a daily call and reminder for people of faith who believe in God and in the power of prayer to make a commitment to intercede for America at this critical time in her history.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

David built an altar to the LORD there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the LORD answered prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.

if we stay faithful in prayer and intercede for america as king david interceded for israel, we will see God's answer.

A Prayer for the Nation

Almighty God, Who has given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech Thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of Thy favor and glad to do Thy will. Bless our land with honorable ministry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion, from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people, the multitude brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endow with Thy spirit of wisdom those whom in Thy name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that through obedience to Thy law, we may show forth Thy praise among the nations of the earth. Father, You have allowed this country to be and Your Word and Name are all on our National buildings and statues across this free land.

Call those men and women who are righteous and who follow Your Scriptures, into offices all over this nation come November 4th.
May Your Name be praised by Your people as we elect men and women who love You and who choose life, and are conservative in government.

Keep our President and his loved ones safe as he finishes his term.
And fill the heart of John McCain with love for You.

And bless this land, You have so graciously allowed to survive the unending, onslaught of liberal, new-age, paganism.

Lord, You alone must be honored and praised!

Father, stop the spreading of islam and cause it’s followers to diminish in this land. Let them get a glimpse of their own eternal judgement. Make them to fear YOU!!!!!

We ask You to show Yourself strong in the most timid of Your children. Let us speak with boldness and courage as we come upon those who defile Your Name and trash this great land and her leaders.

We realize that You are the Almighty and You do not need us, but we need You, Lord! You have run the world and all that’s in it without us. And now, we are here, so, bless us and make us strong and fearless for You.

May Your Name be glorified by our lives.

Hear our prayers as we come humbly, before Your Throne of Grace, in our time of need, Most Gracious Father!!!!!
