S. Maria in Trastevere is one of the most splendid churches in Rome (and that's saying a lot!) Look at this ceiling!
The outside is pretty too.

Beautiful and ancient! It's one of the oldest churches in Rome and, not surprisingly, it's in what was the city's Jewish quarter some 20 centuries ago. (I think I got my facts right.)
