+Kallistos is NOT one of my favorites. His wooly thinking and sometimes thorough going misunderstanding of Orthodoxy (it took him 4 tries to get his book right and still, to call it weak is being kind) make him a prime one to indulge in Anglican-speak.

When I heard +Kallistos was at Lambeth, I was worried that he was being used as a beard for the heretics. Sadly, this confirms it.
We need more bishops like Athanasius or Nicolas and fewer Laodiceans.

++Kallilstos spoke of women’s ordination and homosexual relationships but did not, unless I missed it, speak of the consecration of practicing homosexual priests as bishops. Do you suppose this was a subtle sidestepping of the issue or is he this “wooly in his thinking” as you state? As I read his comments, he sounded like he has copied quite well the penchant for Anglican fudging.
